Smartphones: Can They Be Modern-Day Miracles?
Twenty years ago the cell phone was the size of a brick, cost a fortune, and couldn’t even
fit into our pocket. Now, smartphones are small, affordable, and increasingly taking over
common tasks today and there is almost an app for anything we want. Can smartphones be used
in the medical field to monitor someone’s health such as congestive heart failure or other health
problems such as smoking, alcohol addiction, and drug addiction? Through research and data
collection a lot is revealed about behaviors that can be used for better healthcare treatment plans.
