To people outside the world of mathematics, they have no idea that there are
two different ways to measure angles. The only angles they even care too much
about are probably the steepness of the hill they are trying to walk up or the angle
the road was built on the curve in the road they are driving down, and even then
they might not even be thinking about the angle in comparison to the horizontal and
certainly not thinking about how to measure this said angle. But when it boils down
to it, there are two distinct methods to measure angles, degrees and radians. When
students learn the radian method, they don’t fully understand the reason for wasting
time learning it, but I guess that would be true for many things students learn in
