Based on the result, the parallel process- integrated-work appears to provide better service
than does the serial, specialized-work setup.
All these improvements are due to less idle time among the employees; the utilization of the
Loan Officer resource, defined as the time-average number of units busy was 87%, compared
to the average of 78.48% over the four individual employees in the serial configuration

As we can see, there might still be some improvements from the serial to parallel process, but
only a very slight one . Thus, when service times have little or be constant, there’s not much
difference between the specialized serial and generalized parallel operation.
