Love, Honor, Truth. These values are not only the values of Sigma Nu, but also the
values that are crucial to being a close community. These values have been present in my life
also. When I was in the 10th grade, I switched schools. Entering a new school with already made
friend groups, it was hard at the start to make friends. Having not known anyone coming in, I
first had to find who were the people that had similar qualities to me. Love, Honor, Truth.
These were the qualities that I looked for. After using these values as filters for searching for a
group to join, I ended up finding a group that are still some of my best friends today. Since I
have been here at Indiana, I have used similar qualities to search for friends here. I now have a
very tight group within my dorm. Finally, it was time to rush. A tight brotherhood was my
number one goal when looking where to rush seriously. This led me to the courtyard at Sigma
Nu where I ended up.
