Should physical books be replaced by E-books?
What should be easy for a student to carry heavy thousand pages book or an e-book in android mobile
or tablet? The answer sounds like E-book. E-books are portable, easily accessible, environment loving
and economically cheap. There are few points which will prove that physical books should be replaced
by e-books.
Firstly, physical books have many advantages, but disadvantages of printed books outnumber their
advantages. It cannot be denied that it saves thousands of trees from cutting for making paper. A
survey suggests that nearly 1.63 million tons of paper is produced for books and newspapers which
results in cutting down large number of trees. While e-books can save up to one-third of paper used.
The process that involves production of paper results in creating gases hazardous to environment and
shipping physical books can create up to 12% of marine pollution endangering lives of marine plants
