PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
In this information age, cell phones have become common among students.
Smartphones are relied upon on a daily basis and for many children, they are an
important part of their existence. At our school, many children have a cellphone
– even in kindergarten. Children use their cellphones often during the lunch break
and some even try to use it in class. Many think that the cell phones give students
access to technology which could be useful in learning, but most of our teachers
are concerned that the use of cellphones in schools is a big distraction.
Therefore, my classmates and I decided that this would be a good topic to
research, since it is something that applies to all of us. We wanted to know if
cellphones should really be allowed in schools and what effect it had on students.
