Branding is a name, sign, term, symbol, or design or variation of them that is intended to
identify a goods or products of one seller or a conglomerate of sellers, and is intended to
differentiate them from those other sellers (American Marketing Association, 1995). Branding is
about getting your customer to see your product as their only solution, not about getting a target
market to “choose” you. With this in mind I would both agree and disagree with the statement
that success brands are built on successful products.
