Title
I could feel my anxiety growing as I neared my house. I was a good kid. I always did
what I’m supposed to, I got good grades, and my room is always clean. Why did this have to
happen to me? As I neared my house, I saw my mother working on the garden near the front
door. Of all the days she could have been outside, it had to be the day I wrecked her car. I pulled
into the driveway and try to get out of my car inconspicuously. I had almost made it into the
garage when I heard my mother set down her stuff, walk over, and say, “What have you done?”
