Week 3
Monday
Set up:
Pour water color paint located in the grey paint cabinet in the office (a squirt or two of each
water color should be poured and mixed with a little bit of water from the tap to dilute). Place a
mess mat on the art table (absorbent side up). Give each child a piece of fabric paper and place
the paint tray and paint brushes on the middle of the table that are on the planning shelf. Make
sure that children are wearing a paint smock before engaging in activity and that you put their
name/date on their artwork with a permanent marker.
Colors: Yellow and Orange
Clean up:
Place the fabric papers on the drying rack located in the children’s bathroom. Place paint trays
and paint brushes on the planning shelf in the middle office to be cleaned after lab session and
place mess mats in the laundry. After lab session, take the paint trays and paint brushes and wash
them out in the slop sink in the office. Dry with paper towel and replace it back on the planning
shelf for the next lab session.
