Love is one of the greatest emotions that mankind has ever experienced and is a major
part in today’s society and culture. While it is the most popular, it is also very dangerous and
worrisome as it causes many tragic and unfortunate events. Lysander’s quote “The course of
true love never did run smooth” is the perfect description of such an emotion as it characterizes
love as a journey that has many obstacles and hinderances. True love is usually always
confronted and challenged by outside forces, society, or by family.
