How has this project and experience strengthened your mastery of the course material?
This service-learning project has helped in so many different aspects of learning when it
comes to the course material and objectives. When it comes to a class like this there is a lot
of reading materials as well as a lot of lecture reviews to go through. There is a lot of
information to take in, and as we all know it is not about what we read and take in but it
how we go about using it in the real world. How do we take the new knowledge and utilize
it in our best interest. I believe that our service-learning project has helped us in the best
way it possibly. It allows us to get hands on, step by step, take what we have learned and
go forth and use it towards something that is the real world. Every week that we took time
to work on the project we gained more experience to better ourselves, to prepare us for the
future as well has become more competent to the materials we have to learn at hand.
What did my participation in this service-learning project teach you about the topics in this
course that I wouldn’t have learned otherwise? One thing that really stood out to me in
regards to this service learning project is how I specifically had to take what I had to
learned and used it towards not only conducting conversations and interviews with
