Self-Evaluation of City Speech
When I watched my video, and listened to my speech I would say that there were some
surprises. I think that these surprises arise mostly because listening to yourself speak publicly is
rather weird. One surprise I felt was with my voice. While listening, I felt that my voice sounded
differently than I am used to. I don’t know what caused this but it just sounded strange to me.
The other surprise I saw was that I didn’t use eye contact as much as I thought I did. While
giving the speech, I felt like a made a good amount of eye contact but I didn’t make as much as I
had thought.
During my speeches, I usually don’t feel that uncomfortable. While I watched myself
present I thought my body language could have been improved. I looked like I was stiff and
