3. WANs usually utilize leased facilities, whereas LANs and BNs are mostly
placed within a company and then used operated facilities. Local Area
Networks have become the networks within a company such as a
corporation or university, while wide area Networks are geographically
isolated networks with BN links, Regional Area Networks are
geographically disconnected. Geographically linked networks via BN,
Metropolitan Area Networks cover a geographic area and the Backbone
Network is a system that enables connected networks.
8. End–user technology, such as web browsers and email clients, uses an
application layer. It provides protocols that enable applications to send and
receive messages and provide users with reliable information. The layer of
presentation prepares data for layer of application. It determines how two devices
