Second Assignment
The first developmental issue that I found was attention and memory fatigue.
Through taking a closer look at her reported mental status I have found this to be true of
Beatrice. Recently, Beatrice reports that she sometimes forgets needed items at the
store. She has access and can recall events in the distance and remote past and her
long-term memory appears to be intact. She is having problems with her short-term
memory. There is a lot of information about memory loss in older adulthood. Both in the
media and entertainment, older adults are portrayed as absent minded and forgetful.
