Scurvy
Scurvy is a disease that plagued seamen across the oceans in the early times. It
is a vitamin C deficiency. Scurvy happens on the ocean because fruits and vegetables that
have vitamin C in them are not found on the ocean so if you run out of these fruits or
vegetables you are susceptible to scurvy. Babies can get it as well if they only drink
regular bottled milk because it does not have vitamin C like formula does.
This is an important issue because of the vast number of people that died from it
