Attend a “faculty / student” information session or luncheon where the objective is to inform students about resources,
programs, or services available to them AND encourage two-way communication between faculty and students. This
includes (but isn’t limited to) events such as departmental lunches with College or other student support services
departments, the Dean’s Pizza Lunch, and Regional Campus events.
Student must prepare TWO unique questions prior to the event and Include them with their
Verification form. Include the answers to your questions on the form. Have form signed / stamped
by CBA/UCF representative

Attend an Employer Showcase following a Career Professionalism Speaker Series Employer Panel. Employer Showcases
take place immediately after an Employer Panel is scheduled for class. Please consult the Career Professionalism
Speaker Series schedule in Webcourses for dates. Students in any class may attend the showcase, do not have to attend
the panel to attend the showcase, and employers are subject to change at the last minute.
Students must speak with at least 2 of the employers in attendance. GTAs will be present at the
event and students must check with them on their way out of the showcase and have form signed /
stamped.

Complete a MindSumo challenge – Create a MindSumo account and complete one of the challenges listed on
www.mindsumo.com/contests – Your submission must meet the deliverables listed AND cite research that you have
done to support your submissions. SUBMISSIONS WITH NO RESEARCH WILL NOT BE APPROVED. MindSumo partners
with employers to create projects that you can complete to get work experience, win prizes, and be hired for jobs and
internships. Questions can be directed to aaron@mindsumo.com **Limit two challenges per semester; You can get
ADDITIONAL points for winning a challenge (see below)
You will receive email notification of your challenge submission. Include a copy of your notification
AND the text of your challenge submission to the back of the Verification form. A note about
completing a MindSumo Solution: The purpose of completing a MindSumo challenge is to provide an
original, creative, and insightful idea that can get you noticed by a potential employer and also win
you a cash prize. Submitting the bare minimum required to answer a question will not qualify as
completing a task. Our colleagues at MindSumo will send over any incomplete or unacceptable
submissions for our review. Unprofessional entries will be considered academic dishonesty and
subject to the “Academic Honesty” guidelines from the syllabus.

Complete anActivity Certification Module” in Webcourses. Links are in the Career To-DO List assignment. In order to
earn points for certain activities, you MUST complete the related module and score at least 70% on the module quiz.
Complete form and submit (no signature needed). Quiz score will be confirmed in Webcourses.

Complete the registration process and set up a “Knightline” profile (https://ucfbusiness.force.com/Knightline) Details
and a tutorial are available from the College of Business Office of Professional Development.
Submit a completed Verification Form and attach a screenshot of your completed profile.

Find and complete a Microsoft Office Excel training class (Word, PowerPoint / Prezi, & Access are not approved), or
other software training class relevant to your career using UCF lynda (http://lyndacampus.aa.ucf.edu/). Class may be at
any skill level, must be AT LEAST one hour in length, and must provide a certificate of completion.
Turn in a form (no signature needed), Include a copy of the course certificate of completion. Please
include a detailed (more than one sentance!!) justification of how the software or training is relevant
to your career on the Verification form. This activity can only be done TWICE in a semester.
Find and join a local and/or national chapter of an industry group or professional orgainization related to your career
work in a given industry can join (restaurants, hotels, concrete makers, etc.) A professional organization is an
organization that people within a certain profession can join (internal auditors, financial planners, human resources,
etc.) showing membership in the organization. This activity is ONLY available if you are joining the
organization during the semester. Current memberships are not approved, but you can get points for
attending meetings (see below)
