School Bullying
School bullying is a type of bullying that happens in educational se$ngs. There are
different types of bullying: physical, verbal, cyber, and sexual. Bullying is very harmful and can
have many different impacts on a student ranging from low self-esteem to aggression, and
sometimes even death. School bullying is bullying that happens in educational se$ngs. Over 3.2
million students are bullied each year.”(Dosomething.org). There are many things school
employees can do to lower or even prevent bullying, Since there is not enough being done. “1 in
4 teachers see nothing wrong with bullying and will only intervene 4 percent of the
time.”(Dosomething.org) There should be a law into place that will lower the amount of bullying
happening in schools and make school safer and make bullying a punishable crime
Physical bullying is bullying that happens physically like pushing, hi$ng, spi$ng, or
tripping. Threatening someone to physically abuse them is also considered physical bullying,
even though no physical contact happens. “Physical bullying increases in elementary school,
peaks in middle school and declines in high school, verbal abuse remains
constant.”(dosomething.org) Schools would be safer if physical bullying was addressed and

dealt with. There would also be more students in classes. One out of every ten students drop
out due to bullying related issues. (dosomething.org)
Emotional bullying is when no physical contact happens; it’s verbal bullying such as
teasing, or insulting someone. Purposely taking someone’s property (stealing) is also considered
