Fusion Readings a great program that helps struggling students learn the skills they
need to achieve academic success. Fusion reading programs are designed to help students
two grade levels below with reading and students with IEP’s. Since Fusion Reading
Programs is a highly structured course designed to teach an array of high school leverage
reading strategies with a scaffolded scope and sequence of instruction, practice, feedback,
an ongoing assessment for progress monitoring. If the goals are to increase student
motivation, engagement and reaching outcome it should be for more than students with
IEPS and two levels behind. The achievement gap for these students is so large that waiting
for that is ridiculous. The challenges facing students with low reading achievement may
become even more pronounced with the adoption of Common Core Standards. Especially
