The Fate
Bruno and Shmel shared very similar faiths. Both of them wanted a friendship that
could have never existed during World War 2, because of the Holocaust towards the
Jews. Although Bruno was very much like Shmel, they had very different Hardships.
Shmel had it the hardest in contrast Bruno. Before Shmel met Bruno, he had
endured more hardships that were very terrible. Unlike Bruno, Shmel had lost his
Grandfather and Mother before he met Bruno. Shmel also was forced out from his
home in Poland, not because of a job change or other arrangements, it was because
he was Jewish. Being Jewish at the time meant you were nothing because of the
Nazi’s one world race order.
