“Success is a journey not a Destination”and I plan to take this trip and all the hardships that may
come with it. After high school, I plan to attend Rust College and Major in Biology. Which makes
me a premed student, I know that this will take hard work and dedication, but who would I be if I
don’t accept the challenge? I am a hardworking student at Osceola High School with a 3.95
GPA taking AP classes. I work outside of school days, I devote my Saturdays and Sundays to
studying. I work hard to get A’s and B’s for the nine weeks and semesters.
Also, my parents have been working hard just to put me through high school making sure I have
everything I need. So now it’s all up to me to make sure that I apply for scholarships and try to
earn money to help pave my way to a debt free college education. Some day, I don’t want to just
be called Miss, but Dr. I would love to have that title in front of my name, not for show but to
prove to myself that I can do anything that I put my mind to. Also, to show others that you can
do the impossible because it is possible the word impossible says it itself.
Meanwhile, Rust College is the college I want to attend, but after I plan to attend Meharry
Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. This is where I plan to receive my Masters and
Doctoral degrees. With will power, dedication and the support of my family I will get there there’s
no doubt. Being an applicant for this school already makes me feel accomplished by having the
confidence and the initiative to apply.
Receiving the scholarship would make me so proud and thankful that someone took a chance
on me. I know that not everyone gets this opportunity to apply for something as great as this. To
the reader of my essay I promise to never give up and I wouldn’t be a waste because I have
somewhere that I want to go in life and this would definitely be a start.
