Sarcophagus Depicting a Battle between Soldiers and Amazons is a coffin
decorated with a battle scene around its perimeter in honor of a Roman military
commander. About 40.5 x 91.5 x 50.5 inches in dimensions, the make up of the
sarcophagus is marble, which was created approximately 140 to 170 A.D (museum).
This work incorporates both cultures of the Romans and the Greeks. It can be
determined that the Greeks influenced this work because the lid of the sarcophagus
