WHAT
Professional accountants should adhere to the code of conduct to ensure that they do not
violate their ethical obligations. However, there are some incidents where accountants get
involve in scandals that result in questionable behaviors. According to my research, one of the
most common financial incidents where accountants are often associated is fraud. Professional
accountants who commit fraud construct false financial information for specific reasons that
usually provide illegally obtained benefits.
One of the cases I have found was that the accountant defrauded his clients by diverting
their tax refunds into his bank account. He was charged with wire fraud, aggravated identity
theft, and structuring financial transactions to evade reporting requirements.
SO WHAT
Part A

false information to clients just to obtain benefits.
