Growing up in Boston
The date was September 27, 1722 in the British colony of Boston, Massachusetts
and a young boy was born by the name of Samuel Adams. Growing up in Boston, which
was a British colony at the time. Samuel Adams admired his parents why of life. Samuel
Adams Sr. and Mary Adams were devoted Puritans. His father was even the Deacon of
his church and his mother hoped that Samuel would grow up to become a minister. As
Samuel Adams grew he saw his father was also growing among the political world.
Deacon Adams Sr. was rising among the ranks all the way to being a member of the
House of Representatives. Seeing his father do well as a politician brought an interest to
Samuel Adams (Detroit, 2006).
