NCSC Role Play Critique
First Crique
1. Abbie Newton, 1st place 2016 vs. Ma’ McClesky, 3rd place 2016
2. Call Critique:
The overall vide of the call was con, dence. She went into the meeting with what
seemed like a positive outlook and knowing what she wanted to accomplish. I think she did an
amazing job trying to understand and combat the initial issue of running into Trents twin
brother as well.
It was hard to pinpoint the best parts of the sales call but I’d have to say that
the exploratory process use was incredible. She did a great job establishing the conversation
from the beginning and the going through each section, following-up, and then going back to
di5erent sections to add more depth to the questions she initially asked. The second best part
would be the how she transitioned into and used the solution section of the presentation
process. She directly related each area of the solution phase back to the questions she had
asked in the exploratory process. Lastly, the best part would be positive contact. She con, dently
made the e5ort to ensure the call was going to go smoothly from the start.
It wasn’t easy to identify where she fell short, but one area that was lacking was the
summary. She did not give a robust breakdown on everything that they had discussed during
the meat of the conversation. She should have given a concise and easy summary. Also, from
what I recall, there was only one substantial closing question and that was his reaction to the
tutorial she gave. I think there could have been more formal closure. And in all honesty, I could
not ,nd another area that I would have had her improve—she was the winner overall.
Second Crique
1. Ma’ McCleskey, 3rd place 2016 vs. Abbie Newton, 1st place 2016
2. Call Critique:
The vibe of this call was slightly awkward. Ma’ had con, dence but I often saw him not
good salespeople just with di5erent personalities when it comes to approach. I think their end
results were suspected, they both were good but could use areas of improvement.
