Traditionally, the corporate world was deemed a place specially made for men. Women
were assigned the role of caregiving and homemakers. This meant that women were not
supposed to seek employment elsewhere but depend on male figures for economic support
(Dean, M., & Perrett, 2020). However, as the world evolved, and life became more diverse,
societies started to embrace the idea of women working in the corporate sector. The issue of
gender has always been a limiting factor for women who wish to advance their careers in the
corporate sector (Dean, M., & Perrett, 2020). In most societies, women from a young age are
nurtured to play family roles while men are encouraged to take up typically every employment
opportunity available.
