Location, Location, Location
According to Lester Faigley and Jack Selzer, the editors of Good Reasons with
Contemporary Arguments, Scott Carlson’s article “For Making the Most of College, It’s Still
Location, Location, Location was published in 2013 in the Chronicle of Education (2015,
p.360). Carlson’s main idea throughout the article is that online classes will not lead to the
extinction of college campuses because interaction with college professors and peers can’t be
replaced with virtual learning. Carlson supports his main idea effectively throughout the article
with the rhetorical devices: pathos, logos, and ethos.
