Tragedy, It Belongs to You
Is it possible that tragedy only applies to the kings and kingly? Does that then leave the common
man without hope of being able to overcome adversity? In his essay, “Tragedy and the Common Man,”
by American writer, Arthur Miller, he strongly refutes the idea that tragedy belongs to only the kingly and
upper class. Miller asserts that tragedy has changed and evolved and now belongs to the common man
