1. Logical appeal (False Dilemma) This falsely assumes that because you don’t like dogs,
your a cat lover since the opposite of a dog is mainly a cat. You may be a hamster lover
not necessarily a cat lover.
2. Post Hoc, Ergo Propter Hoc is an assumption of cause and effect. If A happened then B
happened, so A must have caused B.In this case he hit a squirrel with his car, this
perhaps led to his flat tire he later got.
3. Fallacy of relevance(attacking the person/hominem)The person argued about their boss
offering a welness program, but the person attacked the other by providing an insult to
their boss saying instead of providing it for them, she needs it herself.
4. *Logical appeal( Begging the question supporting the claim) They falsley claim making
your child listen to music is abuse.
5. Logical Appeal (False Dilemma) This fallacy falsely assumes that only because the vast
majority of people hate working or attending work, that you automatically don’t want to
go to work because you presumably “hate” your job. When in reality you might have
other plans like going to the doctor, etc.

6. Slippery slope: If you allow students to redo a test, they’re going to want to redo every
assignment for the resst of that following year.
7.Either/or: I thought you were a good person, but you didn’t go to bible study today!
8.Circular reasoning: You need to save money each month to pay your bills because they have
to be paid.
