In this case the requirement was to discuss the tablet and its uses in business. We’ll begin
with defining what a tablet is. A tablet is a general purpose computer contained in a touch screen
panel. Yes, the earlier style of tablet computers required a stylus, but modern day tablets are
operated by fingers and a stylus is just an added option. As I did my research I noticed not only
through the research, but first hand over the years how tablets have evolved as well as the use of
tablets and even the target market for tablets. We are able to see a clear illustration of how tablet
sales had increased from the year 2010 to now and what the forecast is for the years to come:
During my research I came across a number of potential uses for the tablets, but before I discuss
those I’d like to make it clear that the Apple iPad dominates this market. Another graph I came
across will clearly show that the Apple iPad truly does dominate this market:

So now that we made it clear that the dominating tablet is in fact the Apple iPad lets go
back to our original discussion and describe the potential business uses of such devices. The
Apple iPad is capable of having custom – built apps in order to allow lightening the load of field
service workers everywhere. Allowing for convenience of mobile access to critical information.
We also see that the Apple iPad is used in sales as well. It can be hooked up to a custom register
and even have a custom Point of Sales feature. The Apple iPad is also used in retail sales in order
