Response to “Meriwether Lewis’s Journal”
When deciding which path to take Meriwether Lewis had to base his decision off of his
navigation skills, and his instinct. If I were to be put into this same situation under the exact
same circumstances as the great Lewis was I would have to say I would have made the same
decision as well. As hard as it is to fully trust yourself when everyone around you is telling
you the path you are going down is incorrect you have to believe in yourself and trust in your
gut. On page 235 we learn that Jefferson required Lewis to take a “crash course in sciences
