Response Essay – COVID-19 Vaccine
In this article “A majority of vaccine skeptics plan to refuse a COVID-19 vaccine, a study
suggests, and that could be a big problem”, Trujillo and Motta (2020) claim that having a
majority of vaccine skeptics (anti-vaxxers) that plan to refuse Covid-19 vaccine could be a big
problem. Although there isn’t currently a vaccine for Covid-19 available yet, there is an ongoing
debate about getting the vaccine or not, how ‘anti–vaxxers’ will not take the vaccine, and how
this may jeopardize the recovery process of that virus. I believe that all citizens should receive
the Covid-19 vaccine.
The authors’ main point in the article is that the effectiveness of a Covid-19 vaccine may be
stopped because of public reluctance and heavy anti-vaxxers attitudes in the United States. The
