The aim of this paper touch on what is cyberbullying, why does it occur, and what can be done to
prevent it. Baltimore City Public Schools has a high rate of cyberbullying due to the students are
not respecting each other or even the staff. The schools have a 96% rate of cyberbullying
occurring just within this city. There are many ways that the school administrators and faculty
can help prevent cyber and face-to-face bullying that occurs within the school. Starting with
prevention programs and educating the parents and communities about cyberbullying and the
consequences. Cyber and face-to-face bullying are the main leading problems children face
today within elementary and middle school. The causes of bullying someone can vary from
different reasons such as: seeking revenge, blaming others, being bored, caving under peer
pressure, thinking it is cool because everyone else is doing it, being power hungry, believing that
