Bovine tuberculosis and Feline immunodeficiency virus are diseases that are advancing in the
lion ( Panthera Leo) population in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. Bovine tuberculosis
was introduced to the National Park in the 1960s were it infected a population of buffalo. Lions
were first infected in 1995 from eating buffalo carcass ( Keet D. F., Kriek N. P., Penrith M. L.,
Michel A., 1996). At this point, at least 80 percent of Lions were reported infected in 2000 (Keet
D. F., Michel A., Meltzer D. G. A. 2000). Researchers focused more on informing readers how
the diseases infected the Panthera Leo population, the connection it has between both bovine
tuberculosis and feline immunodeficiency virus and the affects of bovine tuberculosis in
buffaloes.
The sole purpose of The Kruger National Park data analysis was to divide the park into
three sections according to the buffaloes infected by bovine tuberculosis, High, Medium, and
