Cyber War
The growing age in technology goes a long way and has now also changed the way foreign
countries can put the United States in danger. While most people still think that the war
can only be fought with weapons one thing that is being ignored for the common person is
the cyber war. A cyber war is has the potential to take terabits of information form the most
important databases within this country. Leaders are stating to take affirmative action in
order to prepare for these potential future attacks, which pose a major threat to information
systems.
The possibility that information systems can be easily hacked is seriously a scary thought.
Hackers are not always just after government information but more or the less for the
information they can collect. Information is everything and being able to translate it and
then make it useful is what they are ultimately after. In “These 5 Facts Explain the Threat
of Cyber Warfare” it states, “Hackers aren’t only in the game to damage governments—
sometimes good old-fashioned robbery is enough. The FBI had to notify over 3,000 U.S.
companies that they were victims of cyber security breaches in 2013” (Bremmer). As
stated in the article sometimes hackers are just in it to have fun, as a result that fun can be
