The Dow Jones Industrial Average is a financial tool of the United States that measures
and monitors the changes in stocks. It is during times of major stock change that the Dow Jones
Industrial Average will either go higher or lower based up the significance of the change. During
times of recession, the behavior of the Dow Jones Industrial Average is that of a major
downward decent in its percent average. For example, during the recession period of 2008 the
stock market was going down due to the bad choices and investments in the real instate business.
