The pros of having employees involved in compensation decisions are the betterment of
employee acceptance decisions, an increase in trust an commitment among employees,
potential improvements in employee turnover, satisfaction with the payout, less tension
amongst management and workers unions.
The cons of having employees involved in compensation decisions are conflicts due to different
points of view, efforts may turn into a search of a bargain instead of remaining as a joint effort
between management and workers unions, and an increase in expenses due to more difficulties
in being able to reach an agreement.
Employees can provide knowledge insight and job information on tasks, duties, or procedures.
