The first step that Giant Pharmacy needs to consider before implementing the EHR is to
assess the practice readiness. This phase is very important for the company to see if they are
ready to take any actions to make permanent changes. During this phase, the company will
answer the questions: why implement EHRs? Then, Giant Pharmacy will envision the practice
in the future in order to see how the company leadership will be different from the current status.
The company will ask the following questions to envision the company in the future: will the
