Creationism and the Bible
God created the world and everything within it. His creation has to do with the idea of
evolution. Evolution exists just as God wanted it to happen. God is all-powerful and can control
everything to be just as he wants it to be. He created the entire universe from nothing and made it
into what it is today. The first scripture in the bible is Genesis, which states how God created the
world. Genesis is the first written works of the history of creation and humanity. The first three
chapters of genesis all have the same focus, the creation of the world.
The first scripture in the bible gives the proof that God is all-powerful. It reads, “In the
beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty,
darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
God said let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated
the light from the darkness. God called the light day and the darkness night. There was an
evening and there was a morning the first day” (Genesis 1:5). It is incredible one man can create
and differentiate between good and bad and create something out of nothing. It is amazing he
could distinguish between light and dark and land and the water when he did not even know
what it was only that he was the one who created it. After separating the light from the dark, God
separated the land from the water. Upon the earth, God created life, he created great “creatures of
the sea and every living and moving thing with the water teems, according to their kinds, and
every winged bird according to its kind” (Genesis 1:20-21). He created each species to be one of
each gender so that they could reproduce and increase the population. He then created something
unlike all else he had created; humans; man and woman. Adam was the first Son of God. So he
would not be lonely God removed one of Adams ribs and then used it to create a woman, Eve.
People need to understand God has no creator and that he is the creator of everything.
Although no one knows what he looks like, his race, or gender we see him how we imagine him
to be in our minds and must live our lives as he would want so we can one day finally get our
turn to join him in heaven. “Heaven and earth are seen to be part of the majestic purpose of God,
which moves in a cast sweep from beginning to end, from creation to consummation” (Genesis
1). It is kind of like a cycle of life, God creates you and then once it is time for you to leave this
earth you rejoin him in heaven. This is an ongoing cycle.
Just like all animals and living things on earth, God created Evolution. During the mid-
nineteenth century, people began to actually study evolution and try to explain it. They
discovered that everything changes to adapt to where they are and it is amazing how quickly and
how much everything has changed over time. Scientists ended up basing evolution on the
scientific method. It is hard for scientists to exactly study evolution because it is something that
cannot be tested but everyone believes that the universe had to be created by someone, which is
why people believe it was God who created it. Evolution is unchangeable, its path may be able to
