The environment’s health is directly linked to human equality. One major goal we must reach is
that of sustainability. How can we successfully make sure everyone’s needs are being met today
without damaging the environment for future generations and working within the limits of our
ecosystems? Justice movements emerged in response to the reality of increased environmental
risks on people of color. The reading mentioned organizations have been set in place to further
educate and enforce environmental justice. A follow up question would be, how can we spread
the word about these issues more effectively to the general population?
