Ethics
•Today I spent the day doing something that promotes my self-interest by thinking
about creating my own entre dishes and know that I can be better than others in my
family.
•Observe people at a public location. Did you notice anyone exhibiting egoism? I
noticed one girl at a store that had an attitude with her parents. She was being
selfish and stubborn, and also wanted things her way. I would call that situation as
part of egoism.
•Identify a person in your life that believes in Ethical Egoism. I would say my wife
believes in Ethical Egoism, because there are many members of her family that
shows signs of egoism. They are all very selfish and thinks nothing but themselves
and not anyone else. Not even one another. They have their own self-interest.
•Identify a person in your life that believes in Psychological Egoism. My brother has
his own self-interest but also likes to help others succeed.
•Egoism is described as one’s own importance or one’s own activities. So, basically
I think that people are motivated by their own interests and desires.
