Reflective Essay
Throughout my academic career I have always struggled with expressing my ideas on
paper. In high school, I was only assigned to write one essay for my eleventh grade honors
English class and the next essay I was assigned was my freshman English class, here in college. I
was not prepared for college because of the high school English classes I had. My first
experience of writing was in my English 091 class first semester, when we had to write an essay
the first day of class and it caught me off guard. I was not use to writing like that at all and it
continued the whole semester. I feel that I have learned by the end of this semester that I am a
horrible writer and still need improving, but if I did not have this class I would not have learned
