Reflective Essay
I have mastered math, economics, and business concepts well. I don’t anticipate on using
much of these skills when I graduate. I’m in debt up to my eyeballs, so no graduate school
for me. I can use researching skills to learn about a job I apply for. The degree just says I
am a hard worker and I can be taught to do things. Math courses helped me learn math and
economics. My business courses helped me in business.
Some business problems might be related to production, my favorite topic. I feel like I
have a good grasp on this. I don’t anticipate on using this skill other than to play games in
my head. My policy class for business was most helpful for this idea of a business
problem.
My micro/macroeconomics courses helped in global and economic areas. The
environmental, ethical, and social contexts came from international business, ethics, and
human relations courses. I feel well learned on these subjects. I can use these when I have
a job and need to be ethical, environment, and socially responsible. These are more life
skills than job skills.
Communicating with diverse populations was best taught in introductory courses like
introduction to communications. I am good at talking to most people. I will use my skills
to talk well in job interviews. Again, no graduate school.
