Reflection Paper
Throughout the course of the semester, there have been many topics discussed that revolve
around understanding the different aspects of organizational behavior. Through discussion, in
class activities, and the semester project, I have learned a great amount of information that I can
learn to utilize as I peruse my degree in management.
The simplest yet most informative topics discussed in class were understanding what
organizational behavior is and the importance it holds in the real world of business. Although
there is no basic knowledge in management, it is a mechanism that can help businesses prevent
or promote behaviors that are either benefit or hurt the company. According to the definition
given in class, organizational behavior is the systematic study and application of knowledge
about how individuals and groups act within the organizations where they work. There are three
important levels off behavior: individual, group and organization. The individual level covers the
things the individual cares about. It can help them become a member that is more engaged in the
organization, help them get along with others, and lower their stress levels in a variety of ways. It
matters at the group level because it covers the topics the employers would care about. This
