History/Literature of the Bible
In terms of the academic study, to reflect upon, this class has been a refresher
course to my basic foundations in my own religious beliefs. I came across some
insights that were pleasant and some unpleasant epiphanies. I was brought up in
a large and loving Catholic family. I was a bit hyper and a mischievous child, now
known as ADD. Back in the 70’s and 80’s, that label nor how to deal with
rambunctious kids like myself; were even talked about. I was just labeled a bad
child and spent a LOT of time at church with Father John. Growing up religion
and how we believed has always been left up to us as individuals to practice. My
mother was a Baptist before marrying my father and converting to Catholicism.
As an adult I married a Baptist and converted. I have taken Old and New
Testament Survey, as well as World Literature at Dallas Baptist University.
