Reflection on the video Majed Almarri

Back when I was in school, whenever the teacher puts us in groups I always wanted to
be the leader in the group. I don’t understand what does it mean to be the leader or the boss,
but I just wanted to be the noticeable member in the group. What I always noticed that people
don’t like to be me as a leader, because I’m not a good leader and I can’t lead them. After I
watched the video I learned what a good leader should do, and I will start doing the same in
this class to make my team good.
Motivating the group is one the best strategies to be a good leader, in this video the
teacher was always motivating his students, and never said to one you can’t. He was always
making them proud of themselves and feels that they can do better, because that what he is
always telling them, and they do better because they believed in themselves.
Secondly, making your team members or the people you are leading happy about what
they are doing. Making the team happy about what they are doing is one of the best ways to
make the team works together and without saying “I’ve had enough” or “I will take a break”,
because when you are doing something you like, you don’t watch for the time to see when you
will finish and go home. Research shows that people who is doing something they like they do it
better than if someone doing something that he doesn’t like. One more thing that the teacher
did to make them like what they are doing is giving all of them A, because if he gives them an A
they will concentrate on what they are doing and they will like what they do.
One more thing to be a great leader is leading people by making them powerful, and
tells them not to fear of anything because everything is possible. When a team member does
something wrong, the great leader don’t show him that he is wrong and can’t fix this anymore,
the great leader shows him the wrong thing and tells him how to fix it without embarrassing
