Guest Speaker Dr. Berry Reflection Paper 1

The theme of this guest speaker conference was Diversity, which I think is a very
relevant and worth talking topic all the time. She started by introducing herself and
describing all the work she has done, a lot of community work to give back to society
and community as well as to contribute to improvement in different areas.
My impression was amazement, of how human and humble her work and conference
was, I really liked that she called out all of us as students and recent graduates in the
near future, to be very mindful of people around us, in every circumstance or space we
are, either school, life or just in everyday places, because every person is a very
important member of our community. She really acknowledges all the differences we
have, race, position, background, religion, education, etc. are differences to be used as
our strengths not only individually but collectively and it is very important that we help
our communities to understand that in order to achieve efficiency.
She explained as well, that we all have leadership and a voice, which are very
erradicate it, in order for orgaizations to be more effective in OB.
