What were you expecting from this Professional Writing
course? Did this class meet your expectations? Explain.
To be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect. I really thought it was going
to be some resembling literature with strict guidelines and multiple
essays. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was something that will
actually benefit us in our professional careers and help build the proper
documents needed to land job/career opportunities.
How did your Digital Portfolio, and knowledge of digital
portfolios, evolve from week to week? Did you end up with the
same focus that you started out with? How did feedback from
your instructor and peers in!uence your approach to your
revised Digital Portfolio?
Every time I think of a digital portfolio, I think of a really professional
page with a complicated layout, fancy heading, and a bunch of photos.
I’m not great at designing things, so the thought of it being complex
was a little intimidating, but in most cases less is more. The feedback
was a very important process of my portfolio. Having an outside
perspective or “fresh eyes” is very detrimental in the writing process in
general, as it can give or add to what the writer was trying to achieve.
How did your ideas and understanding of audience evolve as
you developed your message from an essay format to a
multimedia format?
It definitely changed as before I was submitting it on a smaller scale,
compared to the a webpage where the platform is much bigger. You
