Objectives
To standardize a Potassium Permanganate (KMnO4, oxidizing agent), solution
by titrating it with a primary standard solution of oxalic acid (H2C2O4) as a
reducing agent.
Materials and Apparatus
Apparatus
Beakers (100 mL)(2), burette, burette clamp, retort stand, conical flasks (125
mL) magnetic stirrer / bar, burette marker, glass funnel, pipette (10 mL), pipette
bulb (10 mL), analytical balance, volumetric flask with stopper (100 mL), wash
bottle, weighing dish and micro- spatula.
