Recruiting through social media
When you think about working and the hiring process, it is usually a face-to-face
endeavor. It is something that I have done since I was 16 years old. They would have an
advertisement on paper at the company and either have a date to come back to the job fair
or a website to fill out the information for hire. Now, social media has been evolved and I
feel that it is something very beneficial to this world today because we are always on social
media for everything.
There are always advantages and disadvantages in regards to starting something
new and different in the world. The advantages I read for Kroger’s companies that were for
using social media, it was a great word-of-mouth referral program. It creates a connection
with your local market/community as a great place to work. The disadvantages for Kroger
companies using social media were having the ability for it being a two way street. They can
communicate but also give their feedback on the process, which is not always flattering. The
