There are many different reasons why people abuse drugs. After a period of time the
human body will build up immunity to a substance which leads to an addiction. Over time it is
the game of needing more and more to function, but what may be some of the different reasons
people choose to start the drug to begin with? Some choose to be a part of the crowd, to fit in.
The peers we associate ourselves with can be opportunities to grow and strengthen together
while others can be a danger to us. They could already be abusing drugs and with that added peer
pressure we may fall weak and decide to do drugs as well. On a more serious situation someone
may someone may be trying to escape their reality. They may come from an abusive home or
could have been a victim of a sex crime. This is a way to escape the pain they are living with.
There is also the rebellion type who use simply because they are rebelling against their family
